Artist Statement
The most amazing thing that has happened to me is to have been born by a woman of great ambition. I have derived so much energy and inspiration from her personality; hence I celebrate my mother (even in death) and other great women making an impact on this planet.I celebrate hard working women through my work as they engage in dialogue related to being a woman in a society that marginalizes the contribution women make in the growth and stability of our society. My current body of work serves as a source of inspiration, to give hope and encourage women and girls to stay focused, empowered and evoke new realities we face as women.
Basically, I work with metal foil, acrylic and watercolor and my colours are usually vibrant and contrasting dark tunes and vibrant colours.
